　　Dipsacus Dipsa is the dried root of Dipsacus aspercides CYCheng et TMAi. Mainly produced in Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou and other places. It is also produced in Yunnan, Shaanxi and other places. The ones produced in Sichuan and Hubei are of better quality. Both are cultivated in the wild. Excavate in autumn, remove the roots and fibrous roots, dry over low heat until semi-dry and pile up to "sweat", then dry and slice.

　　【application】

　　1. Impotence, spermatorrhea and enuresis. This product is sweet and warm to help yang, pungent and warm to dispel cold. It is used to treat kidney yang deficiency, deficiency and coldness of lower yuan, impotence, spermatorrhea and diarrhea, enuresis and frequent urination. It is often combined with velvet antler, Cistanche deserticola, Cuscuta and other products that aphrodisiac and cause impotence, such as Deer Antler Dipsacus Powder ("Jifeng Puji Prescription"); It can be used together with products for regulating the heart and kidneys, such as Yuanzhi Wan ("Waitai Mi Yao"); it can also be used with dragon bone and Poria cocos to treat incontinent diarrhea, such as Suojing Wan ("Ruizhutang Experience Prescription").

　　2. Soreness in waist and knees, cold-dampness arthralgia. This product is sweet and warm to support yang, pungent to dissipate blood stasis, and has the functions of nourishing the liver and kidneys, strengthening the bones, and clearing the blood vessels. It can be used with Paixuan, Eucommia ulmoides and Achyranthes bidentata to treat liver and kidney deficiency and soreness of waist and knees, such as Dipsipan Pill ("Significance and Treatment Guidelines"); it can also be used with Fangfeng, Chuanwu, etc. to treat liver and kidney deficiency and cold-dampness arthralgia, such as Dipsacus Pills ("Heji Bureau Prescription").

　　3. Metrorrhagia, bleeding, and fetal movement. This product replenishes the liver and kidneys, regulates impotence, and has the effect of consolidating the root and relieving miscarriage. It can be used for liver and kidney insufficiency, metrorrhagia and bleeding, and fetal movements. Mix it with Platycladus arborvitae charcoal, angelica root, moxa leaf, etc. to stop bleeding, warm menstruation and nourish blood, and use it to treat metrorrhagia with persistent bleeding ("Yong Lei Jian Fang"); or use this product with locust, donkey-hide gelatin, etc. to treat miscarriage syndrome, such as Shoutai Pills ("Yi Zhong Shen Xi Lu").

Used to treat bruises, blood stasis, swelling and pain, muscle injuries and fractures. It is often used in combination with peach kernels, safflower, pangolin, hematoxylin, etc.; or it is used with angelica, papaya, and astragalus to treat the loss of tonic and muscle contraction pain after broken ankles and knees, such as Qiu Zushenjin Dan ("Sai Jin Dan").

　　[Usage and Dosage] Decoction and take, 9 to 15g, or into pills or powder. For external use, grind appropriate amount into powder and apply. It should be stir-fried for bleeding from metrorrhagia.
